Lucy's Beanbags!

They are finally finished and she loves them! I added little ribbons to each one so she could carry them around easier. She drags them everywhere, tries to carry more than one at a time, and has started to learn to throw. I think these will be long-lasting, entertaining toy.

Oliver+S Playdate Dress

I just finished my very first Oliver+S Playdate Dress and it turned out even cuter than I imagined. I was worried about the sleeves looking wonky on her, but they puff out just right. My yoke wasn't perfectly round when I flipped it and inserted it, but with a little rick-rack it looks more finished and no can tell. I thought I would want to add the ruffles, but I think I like it with just these simple green buttons. I will say that it was a little bit difficult to get over her head. I can't decide if that's because she won't stay still or if the head hole really is small or if Lucy just has a big head!

Completing this pattern makes me even more excited for their Fall Patterns to arrive!

Happy Anniversary!

We just celebrated our 2nd Wedding Anniversary  on August 4th and the 2nd Anniversary gift is supposed to be cotton. I've been wanting a good excuse to start quilting and I think this is it. I have ordered my fabrics! I'm using Amy Butler's Slate for the back and some white organic cotton for the sashing on the front. You can find lots of quilting inspiration here! I've been reading this blog from start to finish. Her quilts are fun, modern and amazing. 

Oliver+S A-Line Skirt

I made this skirt using Michael Miller's Groovy Guitar Lime fabric when I first got the pattern, but Lucy just now fits into it. She looks so grown up in a SKIRT! The pattern has great instructions and the pockets are too cute. I haven't made the Sunday Brunch Jacket yet, but am hoping to get it done for the Fall/Winter. I love Oliver+S and can't wait for them to come up with more patterns!
