I’ve been wanting to make something, other than apparel, for Lucy and since she’s in the toddler stage where she wants to carry everything around I’ve decided to make her bean bags! To make them more purposeful and hopefully make them last longer as a relevant toy in her life, I put numbers on them, 0 - 9. Lucy will be able to carry them, count with them, and make numbers with them!
I haven’t finished yet, but I’m using lots of fun fabrics that I’ve never really used. I had a few fat quarters left of really bright colored fabric from a boutique in Austin that I purchased when we were there as Hurricane Ike refuges. The rest is scraps of fabric from different outfits that I’ve made for Lucy lately. The applique font normal, but slightly whimsical, and I think it works well.
Now I just need to figure out what to put inside them...
& I totally forgot about the actual use of bean bags - apparently you use them for some game that you play!
